The SISAL COLLECTION is perfect if you like a more natural look and feel for your office or home space.
Sisal plants consist of blade-shaped leaves upto 2 metres tall. It is cultivated in semi-arid regions of Kenya, Tanzania, Brazil etc. The Sisal plant has a 7-10 year life span and produces 200-250 commercially usable leaves. Each leaf contains an average of around 1000 fibres. Sisal fibre is extracted from the leaf by crushing and beating by machines. The fibre is then brushed and baled for export. Traditionally used for rope and twine, Sisal has many uses, including paper, cloth and carpets.
